Akron Public Schools policies and procedures are designed to keep children safe and give them the best learning environment possible.

2021-2022 Parent Handbook and Resource Guide: The Parent Resource guide provides families with a general school calendar, policies, procedures, and other important information.

Bullying: The Board of Education is committed to providing a safe, positive, productive and nurturing educational environment for all of its students. The Board encourages the promotion of positive interpersonal relations between members of the school community. Harassment, intimidation or bullying toward a student – whether by other students, staff or third parties – is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Code of student behavior: This document outlines the proper behaviors expected by our students and what behaviors are considered infractions as outline by our school policies.

Student network policy: This policy outlines appropriate student use and access of the internet through Akron Public Schools computers and mobile devices.

Lockdown protocol: This document outlines the process by which Akron Public Schools notifies families of events impacting student safety.

Uniform/dress policy: Students must abide by the Akron Public Schools dress code and uniform policy.
