Case 3-5 families returning to school,

We are very excited to have so many of our students returning to the building starting Monday, March 15th.  We wanted to make sure you are aware of a number of changes to help our return to in-person learning go smoothly:

Safety

-Students and staff will be required to wear masks all day

-Students and staff will keep a minimum of 3 feet of social distance, and 6 feet when available or eating

-Students and staff will have regular access to hand washing and/or sanitizing

-Students may/should bring a water bottle with them as classroom drinking fountains are locked; bottles can be refilled at the building and should only contain water

Chromebooks

-All students should bring a fully charged Chromebook everyday

-Students will be taking their Chromebooks to and from school each day

-There are not extra/loaner Chromebooks or chargers available at the building

*Chargers can be ordered through the school, and replacements cost $10

Drop Off (8:05 - 8:20)

-All cars should be entering the Case parking lot/driveway off McDowell Ave.

-Pull up to the stop signs to drop students off (we will have a sign the first few weeks)

-Students will walk to the cafeteria doors to enter (we will have a sign/cone the first few weeks)

-Students will not enter the building until 8:10

-Students who enter the building after 8:20 will not have time to eat breakfast

-Students not in the building ready to learn at 8:30 are tardy

Pick-Up (2:30 dismissal)

-Cars should be approaching Case by using Westvale Ave. to McDowell Ave.

-Cars will be asked to pull as far forward as possible; we will get your student(s) to you

-Adults will be asked to stay in their car; if you would like to, or need to, get out of your car to pick-up your student we ask that you park in a parking space and use our crosswalk

-Staff will be helping to ease traffic, please follow our directions

*All students are expected to be picked up and off school grounds by 2:45

School Bus/School Van Riders

-APS busses and vans will leave the building as soon as they are loaded and students are in their seats

-Transportation has a app/program called “herecomesthebus” to follow the routes/progress of busses

-The phone number for transportation is 330-761-1390

Dress Code

-The Akron Board of Education has suspended the school uniform policy this year; however students are welcome to wear their uniforms

-All clothes should be in good repair and without inappropriate images/content

-Clothes should not have tears or rips and should appropriately cover students from shoulders to thighs

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work together to transition to our new normal as successfully as possible.
