Family Engagement

Dear Parents,

Anne T Case CLC receives funds from the federal government for student support. These funds are given to us under section 1118 of the ESEA which is more commonly referred to as Title One. Some of these funds are used to help families connect with the school and their child’s learning.

Our school is governed by the following legal definition of family engagement and will carry out our programs, activities and procedures in accordance with this definition:

Family engagement means the participation of families in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities, including ensuring-

  1. that families play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning;

  2. that families are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education at school;

  3. that families are full partners in their child’s education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child;

  4. carrying out of other activities, such as those described in section 1118 of the ESEA.

Math Night, Reading Night, PYP Showcase and Recognition Award assemblies are just some of the programs we are able to provide at Anne T Case through Title One funding. Please read Anne T Case’s family engagement plan. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please contact me.
