Anne T. Case CLC Students & Families,

It has been wonderful to see so many students returning to buildings across the district, and while we understand that some students are still remote for any number of health concerns, we are confident that each month we are getting a bit closer to all students and families feeling safe and comfortable being in the building with the safety protocols APS, ACH, and SCPH have put in place.  The most obvious of those protocols are the continued requirement for everyone in the building to wear a mask everyday and the emphasis we have on keeping safe spacing between everyone, which includes at least 6 feet when students are eating or taking a mask break.  Please help by making sure that your child bringing their mask each day is a normal part of their morning routine.

Along with this letter, you will find your child’s report card and a flyer for kindergarten registration.  Please remember you can always find copies of news, flyers, and other useful information on multiple websites/platforms as well:

As we move into the final 6 weeks of school, there is still a lot for us to work on and complete.  Most of our grade levels are moving into their final IB unit of the year, with our fifth graders planning their virtual exhibition, which is the culmination of the  International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.  Teachers are still updating students’ IB report cards, but this year, those report cards are only being mailed out once a semester; they will be included with the 4th quarter/final report card of the year.  April and May is also the State’s testing season.  Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking their OSTs over the next month; please continue to check the school’s website for some helpful hints dealing with the best way to prepare your student for those tests.  Finally, we will be hosting a drive through math night this Spring, similar to our drive through reading night in January.  While we are still working out the logistics and details, we know the event will include grade level specific math packets with games, a take-and-make meal for each family and some other giveaways for students/families.

While this year has continued to present challenges that our schools and communities have never dealt with before, we still are so thankful for the support and work of our students, family, and staff!

Thank you,

Matthew Doslak Grace Tome
