Welcome & Welcome Back Case Families,

We hope that you have had a wonderful, safe summer, and we cannot wait to see everyone in a few, short weeks!  On the back of this letter, you can see the dates we are welcoming our families and students back.  As we did last year, we will always do our best to communicate with you.  In order to make sure we are able to keep you up-to-date on everything that is going on at your child’s school, please make sure that your contact information is correct in the Home Access Center (HAC); this is especially true for your phone number, as we send out weekly all-calls to communicate with our families (if you have already received a number of all-calls, the number we have for you is not correct).  In addition to all-calls, we also regularly update our school website (https://case.akronschools.com/), especially the “News” section.  One final way we try to keep the entire community knowledgeable about what their school is doing is by putting announcements up on our marquee located in front of the building on Garman Rd.  Also, our PTA continues to maintain a Facebook page; find it by simply searching for Anne T Case, and please consider joining our wonderful, engaged PTA!

For those of you that have students who were with us, another APS school, or for that matter, any school last year, you will remember that 12 months ago, we were in a constant state of waiting and uncertainty.  While we still will need to be cognizant of, flexible with, and safe in dealing with Covid, we have a much clearer idea of what our year will look like.  All of our students will be back in the building, learning from their teachers face-to-face! APS does have a virtual option (APS Online), but you must register for that option by August 20th through the district’s website.  We will continue to follow all safety protocols set by the district based on recommendations from the CDC, Ohio Department of Health, Summit County Public Health, and groups like the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The biggest precaution/guideline the district will have in place is mandatory masks in the building.  Please make sure that your student always has a mask when coming to school, and that you also wear a mask if you ever have to visit our office.  

While being face-to-face, our students will see a number of new staff members at the building this year.  We would like to welcome the following new staff members to the Anne T Case CLC family:

Last, but certainly not least, on Monday, August 2 the International Baccalaureate Organization confirmed that Anne T Case will continue to be a PYP IB World School, offering everyone of our students an IB education!!!
