Anne T. Case CLC Students & Families,
This letter and report card mark the halfway point of the 2021-22 school year. Please review your student’s report card, and know that you are always able to reach out to their teacher with questions. In grades 2-5, you also are able to track your child’s work/grades through Home Access Center (HAC), and although grades/scores are not available, assignments are regularly updated in your students’ Google Classroom.
One thing you do not see enclosed in this envelope that you may have seen in previous years is an IB Report Card to let you know how your child is progressing through their units and work associated with our International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Not seeing the report card is due to Case continuing to reflect and try to improve on the manner in which we measure and share students’ progress in IB; one giant step we have taken this year is moving to digital portfolios that will follow students throughout their time as an IB learner. However, you should always feel free to ask your student or their teacher about the units, learner profiles, central ideas, ect…
Through December and the week we returned from break we continued to have targeted conversations about our ReFocus plan with students. After surveying our staff and our student ambassadors, Case selected 5 expectations that we will greatly emphasize over the next few months. Those PBIS expectations are:
In the Classroom...
-
We will care for our classmates by using appropriate language and volume.
-
We will care about our classmates by respecting their personal space, items, & learning.
-
We will be a thinker by trying our best during learning tasks
In the Restrooms…
On the Playground…
Please support and reinforce these expectations at home in any way possible. Our greatest focus has been around kind words/appropropriate language. Our PBIS team will be selecting a few new expectations to focus on in the coming months, and we will be sure to let our students and families know what those are.
