Snow Days!

Our snow days in 2022 were amazing, cold, and fun, but why did we have them? It may be the cold or there was too much snow. For various reasons we still had fun on our snow days!

Snow days were really fun, and we had a great time, but think about the people who were shoveling snow as we were sitting on the couch. We don’t all need to go out on a snow day, but the people who shovel and plow the snow have to go out in the cold to do their jobs. I believe this is one reason schools were closed. If the snow wasn’t cleared in time, then we probably wouldn’t have school. We hope that they are safe, and don’t get sick when they take care of the snow. We are very thankful for the people who clear our roads and sidewalks.

There are many reasons why we didn’t have school. If you are a walker, then they don’t want you catching a cold when you are trudging through the snow. Also, it is dangerous for bus drivers and riders when it is icy outside.  We wouldn’t want them to risk getting in an accident. The same thing goes for our parent drivers. We want to make sure everyone is safe and our environment is safe. We can’t risk people trying to come to school in the bad weather and getting stuck or into an accident. We hope that everyone is safe when there is a lot of snow.
