March/April, 2023
Anne T. Case CLC Students & Families,
This letter marks the end of the 3rd and start of 4th quarters. As we move into the final months of school, we remind you that the best way to stay up-to-date is to visit our websites:
As we mentioned in our previous couple letters to families, our 3rd through 5th graders are currently taking their Ohio State Tests. Students in those grades will be taking OSTs in Reading and Math; 5th graders also take a Science OST; our testing window started Monday, March 27 and will continue after Spring Break. The following tips/tricks can continue to benefit all students but are especially important to keep in mind for students taking OSTs:
-
Keep a reasonable bedtime, and go to sleep without devices; pediatricians says students 5-12 years old should get around 10 hours of sleep a night
-
Have a healthy (not greasy) breakfast; the school offers this as long as students are here by 8:10am
-
Remind students it is ok to not know everything, but they should always be principled and try their best
-
Make sure students have a charged chromebook everyday
-
Find other routines that work for you and your child (ex: showers at night and/or in the morning)
This time of year is also our busiest time for events. Below you will see some of the things Case CLC and our PTA have planned before the end of the year:
-
Spring Break April 7 - April 14
-
Grandparents Lunch (more information to come)
-
Scholastic Book Fair May 8 - May 12 (a special after hours shop will be open May 10 4:00-6:00)
-
Spring Music Concert (TBD)
-
5th Grade Exhibition (TBD)
-
Race for Case May 20
-
Field Day(s) (planned for the final week of school)
We look forward to having a successful end of the year!!!
Thank you,
Mr. Doslak Dr. Person
