Join us on March 13th from 4 PM to 6 PM as we welcome the author and motivational speaker Ty Allan Jackson. Mr. Jackson is known for his books and for calling attention to the effects of illiteracy. As he puts it, "Read or Else" is his way to point out the importance of reading and what it could mean if you can't.
66% of children who can not read proficiently by the 4th grade will end up incarcerated or on welfare.
85% of teens who go thorough the judicial system are functionally illiterate.
70% of prison inmates can not read above a 4th grade level.
75% of all welfare recipients are functionally illiterate.
